Job Title: Integrator/Project Manager Location: Blackburn / Warrington Employment Type: Permanent Staff Assystem are seeking to recruit a dynamic, customer focussed project manager with excellent communication skills to join its growing team to provide vital integrator support with a major local nuclear engineering client. Although relevant market experience would be an advantage, applications from people with transferable skills will be welcome. The successful applicant would act as the Assystem single point of contact for the client for any work delivered through a major Managed Service framework whether self delivered by Assystem or through a partner organisation. It would require a daily presence at the client’s site. Main Job Responsibilities: The job responsibilities are divided into two complementary areas, i.e. PM duties and integration with key stakeholders both external and internal to Assystem. In outline these are as follows: Integrator Tasks: • Assist in the development of collaborative working practices • Scoping of Work Packages to a level of detail suitable to provide firm proposals and programme against, working with client task owners to develop and clarify emerging or uncertain requirements • Drive mobilisation of resources to dynamically meet the demand from the client via the best athlete process • Maximise visibility to all Managed Service partners to ensure equal opportunity to compete for work and to deliver the most SQEP value for money solution to the client • Improve the reliability and visibility of forward load and capability gaps. An understanding of forward load, capacity, programme milestones and of performance measures imposed on the client by their customer, is vital. This will be achieved by effective and proactive engagement with key client stakeholders. • Medium to long term resource planning via engagement with key external stakeholders. • Facilitate project delivery by monitoring KPIs and performance trends • Support off site work packages by facilitating data transfer and information exchanges • First point of contact for escalation for client task owners • Key stakeholder and action owner in the Continuous Improvement process PM Tasks: • Management of multi disciplined teams of designers and engineers, to ensure projects are delivered within budget and timescale targets, to the correct quality. • Develop opportunities from the prospect stage, via pre-qualifications and tenders, to successful contract award, project execution and satisfied customers • Work with Bid Managers and Operations staff in making bid/no-bid decisions and prepare detailed strategies for tenders. • Client Management; strategic, relationship and contractual and commercial management • Interface with clients project management team to report update and resolve issues • Ensure project deliverables are met in accordance with programme, quality and cost Key Skills: Engineering background Significant demonstrable competence gained in Project Delivery position. Past project management or project engineering experience is essential. This will ideally have been gained in a technical area within the nuclear industry. Proven track record of delivering to tight deadlines. Experience gained in managing delivery to clients within the Nuclear industry Computer literate in MS Office in Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Project Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills and confidence Energetic and dynamic A can-do attitude, decisive and positive Able to organise, lead and motivate Focussed on meeting project deadlines Has the ability to see the holistic view Continuous improvement mentality Enjoys dealing with several different tasks, people, objectives concurrently Unfazed by working with deadlines and pressure Persuasive when necessary to get other parties to ‘buy-in’ to plan   Qualifications and Affiliations:  Preferably degree qualified in technical/engineering discipline though not essential. Security: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
