We are seeking a RN Nurse Supervisor to provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing and nursing related operations for the home during the scheduled shift. RN Nurse Supervisor Primary Responsibilities: In the absence of the Administrator and the Director of Nursing Services, functions as the primary professional nurse in the facility. Supervises, implements and monitors the quality and quantity of nursing care provided on all units, following accepted nursing standards, regulations, and MVH policy, in order to insure that the highest quality nursing care is provided. Provides direction/counseling/training on job performance; ensures that department staff are competent in their performance and practice within their scope of licensure and job descriptions; completes disciplinary actions/commendations according to policy/procedure in a fair/consistent manner, and makes recommendations for retention/discharge of subordinates. Monitors and evaluates shift routines and makes adjustments as needed; and assists staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.
