Profil

Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and legal requirements in line with the OHS Act and company standards Conduct safety assurance activities in accordance with ISO 45001:2018 Maintain a visible HSE presence in workshops and support Project Managers and Production teams Perform regular site inspections, audits, and safety walkabouts Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are implemented Support and coach employees on HSE practices and procedures Ensure all employees and contractors are properly inducted and compliant with site requirements Manage Permit to Work (PTW) systems and contractor compliance Coordinate safety meetings, training, and awareness initiatives Maintain HSE documentation, records, and safety boards Ensure adequate first aid and safety coverage across all work areas Participate in internal and external audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and client audits) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role At least 3 years’ supervisory experience Relevant Occupational Health and Safety qualification (e.g. SAMTRAC, NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate) Registration with SACPCMP (South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions) Demonstrated ability to apply risk assessments to company operations and activities Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Medically fit and in good physical condition Willingness and ability to travel as required
