Location : Douai (AESC France)

Duration : 6 month (intership)

Report to : Finance controller


Mission:

As a finance controller intern, you will play a important role in the structured growth of our new factory. You will assist the controlling team in managing LOH & SG&A expenses,optimizing the Purchase to pay process, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting during our “ramp up” phase.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Purchase Request (PR) Management & Analysis
  • *PR Follow-up : Track the end to end PR lifecycle to ensure timely approvals and alignment with the procurement policy.
  • *Budget Compliance: verify that requests are assigned to the correct GL account, cost center according to the budget.
  • *Spend Analysis: prepare weekly reports on purchase commitments vs actuals to identify potential savings.

2.Monthly Closing & Reporting (participate closing)

  • *Accrual preparation: assist in calculating and booking month end accruals
  • *Variance Analysis: support the team in explaining gaps between actuals and forecasts


3.Business Partering (cost review)

  • *Department Support: Assist in preparing presentation for monthly cost reviews with operational managers (HR,IT,Facilities ,etc)
  • * Budget & Forecast: Participate in the budget construction and rolling forecasts.


4.Required Profile

  • Education: Master’s degree student (Bac+4/5) from a business school or University, Specializing in Finance, Controlling or Audit.
  • Skills:
  • *Analytical mindset: comfortable with numbers and able to synthesize complex data.
  • * Excel Proficiency: Advanced level. Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

  • Communication : Proactive in asking questions and following up with stakeholders.
  • Rigour: High attention to detail.
