Internship - Laser Linewidth Broadening Through Noise Injection For High-Power Optical Amplifiers H/F

Would you like to put your expertise to work in a high-tech environment and contribute to strategic challenges?

As part of our growth, we are looking for our future internship LINEWIDTH BROADENING THROUGH NOISE INJECTION FOR HIGH-POWER OPTICAL AMPLIFIERS. Within our elecronic department, made up of 10 team members, you will leverage your expertise to support our teams and contribute to the success of our projects.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Bibliographic study of linewidth broadening.

- Specification and implementation of the laser-driver circuit.

- Experimental characterization of the broadened laser, including its spectrum, linewidth, and intensity noise.

- Recommendations for improving the laser-driver circuit.

- Final internship report and presentation.

Profil recherché

You are in the last year of engineering cycle or master degree

Technical skills:

- Analog and digital electronics

- Lasers and optoelectronics

- RF and high-speed electronics

- Circuit schematic capture and PCB routing

- Circuit simulation (PSpice)

- VHDL, C, and C++ programming

- Signal processing and spectral analysis

- Python for modelling and data analysis

Appreciated additional skills:

- Optical telecommunications (optical fiber, WDM, coherent modulation formats, etc.)

- Laboratory experience

Soft skills:

- Scientific curiosity.

- Experimental rigor.

- Autonomy.

- Teamwork, communication and writing abilities.

Languages: French or English, with good reading and writing skills.
